Why donate to ENLACE?
Scholarships
As part of our commitment to accessibility, we try to give as many scholarships as possible to students who would otherwise be unable to afford classes. Your support would enable us to expand our scholarship scheme and ensure more students receive a language education.
Activities & Camps
We aspire to provide our students with fun and immersive language education. Real life speaking activities and camps are one way of doing this and we’d like to plan more for our students, some of whom have never had the opportunity to leave Mindo before.
Facilities
ENLACE is a passion project and has been wholly funded by its director, Silvia Carrillo. Whilst we endeavour to provide our students with modern facilities – that rival for-profit language schools in Ecuador – there are many areas which could improve with your support.

1. ENLACE is a member of The Commission on Urban Wildlife
ENLACE works closely with Mindo’s Urban Wildlife Commission, particularly their Street Dogs Foundation. Unfortunately, the issue of stray and abandoned dogs in Mindo continues to grow, threatening the town’s unique and sensitive nature and wildlife.
We contribute to this project by raising awareness and promoting responsible pet care, alongside providing support for the project’s provision of refuge and neutering services – provided free of charge to the population of Mindo.
2. We support Christian Education
ENLACE supports a Friday Youth Club and a Sunday Bible School which offer meaningful and fun activities for the children and young people of the town. We have also successfully ran English camps, in conjunction with Christian partners, to offer our students the feeling of a school retreat.
ENLACE’s Tourist and Foreign Residents Safety project
Children´s Park Barrio San Vicente
ENLACE is proud to sponsor the construction of a children’s park in the neighbourhood of San Vincente. The park will provide a safe space for the children of the town and a much needed alternative to the old and run down children’s park.
